Description
Collecting the best illustrative works from Hasker Brouwer in 2022 in this neat collection.
Drawing since before he can remember, Hasker Brouwer has constantly aimed to grow in his wild illustrative style. Heading the credo from artist Frank Frazetta “do what I didn’t do”, his natural style slowly shifted to the likes of Bill Sienkiewicz, Sergio Toppi and Ralph Steadman. Yet, instead of aiming to be a copy, his works slowly began to take on a world of their own. Combining differing line-thicknesses, splashes of ink and rough pencils, his work is often described as “controlled chaos”. Using a combination of materials, from gouache to ink to oilpaints to create his effects, this artbook collects 50+ drawings of the last year from Hasker’s studio.
